Circuit Breaker Residential Tuition Update

To: Superintendents, School Business Officials, Special Education Directors, Private Special Education School Directors
From: Jay Sullivan, Director, School Business Services
Date: November 12, 2003
Subject: Revised Approved Special Education Private School Rate Listing Form, CB7 (35%)

Please find attached a revised CB7 Form, Approved Special Education Private School Rate Listing Form Approved Special Education Private School Rate Listing Form. The highlighted column on the form lists the per diem rate that the Department will utilize to reimburse approved students as noted in the Circuit Breaker Update memo dated November 12, 2003. The rates listed have been adjusted to reflect the current authorized prices per the Operational Services Division, FY 2004 Special Education Tuition Prices web site.

Be advised that all invoices for services rendered must be processed in conformity with both Local School District Payment Procedures, CB5 and Private School Payment Procedures, CB6.

Two items to be aware of:

  • The Department will reimburse for individual students only after services have been rendered.

  • It is imperative that the private school list an invoice number on their invoice as that will be the identifier that the they will utilize, through the Comptroller's Mass Finance VendorWeb website, to identify which student the payment is for. The VendorWeb website address can be found in CB6.

All memos and forms cited above can be downloaded from the Circuit Breaker tab on our webpage.
