| PURPOSE: The purpose of the grant program is to provide funds to identified school districts in implementing professional development on critical K-3 literacy issues. The grant will fund partnerships of eligible districts, schools, and institutions of higher education or other professional development providers with expertise in K-3 reading instruction to enhance the implementation of effective, research-based instructional practices and increase the numbers and percentages of students who are proficient readers by the end of grade 3. |
