Grants and Other Financial Assistance Programs: FY2008

School-to-Work Transition
Fund Code: 480-A2

Purpose: The purpose of this state-funded grant program is to support the pilot program in the town of Southbridge for preventing violence and hate crimes in Kindergarten through Grade 8.
Priorities: Proposed programs must provide high quality services.
Eligibility: Southbridge Public Schools is eligible for this grant.
Funding: Of the funds appropriated for line item 7027-0016 in FY2008, the Legislature provided that $100,000 shall be allocated to Southbridge Public Schools.
Fund Use: Funds must be used as described in a budget, budget narrative, and scope of services that is submitted to the Department of Education's Connecting Activities Unit.

  • A Scope of Services Summary document must be submitted along with the required forms noted above.

  • At the end of the program, the Department will require a narrative evaluation of the overall effectiveness of the program to be submitted by July 31, 2008.
