Massachusetts 21st Century Community Learning Centers Exemplary Programs

FUNDS REQUESTED: $3,336,956
PURPOSE: The purpose of the Massachusetts 21st Century Community Learning Centers (CCLC) Exemplary Programs Grant is to support the establishment of exemplary Community Learning Centers to operate during out-of-school hours and provide students with academic enrichment opportunities along with other activities designed to complement students' regular academic programs. Community Learning Centers may also continue to offer literacy and related educational development to families of these students.

RESULT OF FUNDING: Funding will support development of a statewide network of exemplary 21st CCLC programs that will provide students with academic enrichment opportunities as well as provide peer support, training, and technical assistance to new and existing 21st CCLC programs across the Commonwealth. Grant awards range from $55,000 to $400,000.
