Massachusetts 21st Century Community Learning Centers Program (21st CCLC)

PURPOSE: The purpose of the Massachusetts 21st CCLC Program is to establish Community-Learning Centers that operate during out-of-school hours and provide students with academic enrichment opportunities along with other activities designed to complement the students' regular academic program. Community Learning Centers may also offer families of these students' literacy and related educational development.

RESULT OF FUNDING: This grant will enable 19 districts and their partnering organizations to provide more than 1,700 children and youth in grades K-12 with after-school and summer academic enrichment opportunities along with youth development programs that complement and support regular academic programming at approximately 26 different schools. Grant awards range from $60,000 to $200,000.
