PURPOSE: The purpose of this grant program is to provide funding for districts committed to building basic knowledge and understanding of how to identify and serve a broad range of advanced/gifted students throughout the district.

RESULT OF FUNDING: This grant will provide funding for teams of educators in 21 districts to gain basic knowledge and understanding of how to identify and serve gifted/advanced students in their schools. In addition, funding will provide an opportunity for teams to plan programs to be implemented in the 2008-2009 school year. Grant awards range from $1,734 to $14,775.
