| PURPOSE: The purpose of this grant program is to provide funding to schools and colleges to facilitate linking high school career/vocational technical education programs with college and registered apprenticeship career/vocational technical education programs. |

| RESULT OF FUNDING: Grants will assist two consortia comprised of 52 high schools and seven (7) colleges in developing Program of Study Grids for each career/vocational technical education program within the high schools. In addition, grant funds will be used to develop and institutionalize systems of career planning and college advising and/or mentorship services for students enrolled in career/vocational technical education programs. Early college placement testing will be provided to high school students. Systems will be developed and institutionalized for ensuring that articulation agreements are kept current. Approximately 2,500 students will benefit from the grant. Grants range from $174,612 to $200,613. |
