Preliminary FY07 Charter School Tuition Rates

The rates published below constitute the new foundation budget formula. The rate calculations used for the hold harmless provision of Chapter 16 of the Acts of 2007 will be furnished upon request. • Formula Summary . A detailed explanation of how the Foundation Rate formula works.

• Charter Rate Summary . A summary of the rates for each charter school, by school campus and sending district.

• Foundation Budget . A matrix for a specific charter school location and sending district containing the foundation enrollment, rates by functional category, and foundation base rate.

• Above Foundation Spending . A district listing of the calculations used to determine the percentage of net school spending above the foundation budget. Deductions for retired teacher's health insurance and out-of-district special education costs are shown in detail.

• Facilities Aid. The FY07 facilities tuition rate is set at $811. No calculation is employed.
