Preliminary Charter School FY07 Tuition and Enrollment

Below you will find the Department of Education's most recent calculation of preliminary FY07 charter school tuition and reimbursements. These amounts will be used by the Department of Revenue for purposes of certifying the March 30, 2007 local aid distribution. Final FY07 tuition and reimbursements will be calculated in mid June 2007.

On February 22, 2007 Governor Patrick signed into law Chapter 16 of the Acts of 2007. Section 13, item 7061-9010, of this law ensures that no charter school will receive less tuition in FY07 than it would have under the original foundation budget formula. To meet this hold harmless mandate both rate formulas will be used in determining charter school tuition commencing with the March 30, 2007 distribution.

All districts and charter schools are reminded that the third quarter tuition calculations are still estimates.

The data provided herein reflect the fall enrollment as reported by each charter school via a SIMS (Student Information Management System) electronic data transmission.
