FY08 Chapter 70 Aid and Net School Spending Requirements

On July 12^th Governor Patrick signed the FY08 state budget which authorizes $3.725 billion in Chapter 70 education aid to Massachusetts school districts. The Chapter 70 numbers are identical to those voted by the House of Representatives and Senate in their April 4^th joint local aid resolution. The documents below provide the numbers and an explanation of how they were calculated.
