FY08 Chapter 70 Aid and Net School Spending Requirements

July 12, 2007

On July 12th Governor Patrick signed the FY08 state budget which authorizes $3.725 billion in Chapter 70 education aid to Massachusetts school districts. The Chapter 70 numbers are identical to those voted by the House of Representatives and Senate in their April 4th joint local aid resolution. The documents below provide the numbers and an explanation of how they were calculated.
