To Superintendent of Schools, School Business Officials and other interested parties
From: Jeff Wulfson, Associate Commissioner for School Finance
Date: June 18, 2004
Subject: 2003-2004 End of Year Pupil and Financial Report Workshops

We have scheduled workshops for the 2003-2004 End of Year Pupil Financial Reports. The workshops are designed to assist school officials with this annual data collection. In addition we will also be discussing the Special Education Circuit Breaker program for FY'04 and FY'05.

The schedule of workshops is as follows:

June 28 Easthampton Whitebrook Middle School, Easthampton
June 29 Holiday Inn, Taunton
July 1 Assabet Valley High School, Marlborough
July 14 Northeast Metropolitan Vocational, Wakefield
July 15 Assabet Valley High School, Marlborough

Each workshop will take place at 9:00 a.m. to noon. We will be discussing any changes in the report, as well as common audit findings. We are devoting the final hour of the workshop to the Special Education Circuit Breaker program. Staff will be available to discuss individual questions after each workshop. An additional workshop may be scheduled early in September to assist district and municipal officials in completing their reports. In the event you are unable to attend any session, your materials will be mailed to you.

Registrations can be completed online from the School Finance page of the Department's website (http://finance1.doe.mass.edu/).

I appreciate your continued cooperation.
