Massachusetts 21st Century Community Learning Centers - Exemplary Programs

PURPOSE: The purpose of the Massachusetts 21st Century Community Learning Centers (CCLC) Program is to establish community learning centers that operate during out-of-school hours and provide students with academic enrichment opportunities along with other activities designed to complement the students' regular academic program. Community Learning Centers may offer families of these students literacy and related educational development.

RESULT OF FUNDING: This funding will help further develop a statewide network of exemplary 21st CCLC programs with services and resources offered at 28 sites in 13 communities. These programs will provide students with academic enrichment opportunities as well as provide peer support, training, and technical assistance to new and existing 21st CCLC programs across the Commonwealth. Grant awards range from $75,000 to $506,250.
