| PURPOSE: The goal of this state-funded grant program is to provide academic instruction (English language arts and mathematics) and support services that enable students from the Classes of 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, and 2010 to continue to pursue a Competency Determination while providing pathways to further education. |

| RESULT OF FUNDING: This grant program will assist nine (9) institutions of higher education to provide academic support and transitional services to students who have yet to meet their Competency Determination. Approximately 260 students from the Classes of 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, and 2010 will benefit from these services in the summer of 2009. Grant awards range from $11,000 to $16,000. |
