Adult Basic Education for Incarcerated Adults

TOTAL INCREASE AMOUNT: $1,800 (Federal)
PURPOSE: The purpose of this federal grant program is to provide the opportunity for staff from the Barnstable House of Corrections to attend a national conference for Adult Basic Education (ABE) providers. The grant is made available to programs that commit to sharing promising practices with the ABE system.
RESULT OF FUNDING: As a result of participating in this national Adult Basic Education conference, the program's capacity to provide high quality ABE services to over 150 students in a community setting and over 100 ABE students in a correctional facility will be increased.
