SUBMISSION OF PROPOSALS AND RELATED INFORMATION

Listed below is information that applicants need for proper submission of continuation grant proposals. Please share this information with all who will be involved in the submission process.

Standard Grant Application for FY2008

  • There is a separate signature page and application for each fund code.

  • The appropriate signature page is located within the individual grant application.

  • Applicant Agency Contact information needs to be submitted on the individual program Budget Detail Pages. Please provide all requested information, including the four-digit district code.

  • Use only FY2008 forms for submission of proposals. All FY2008 forms are included on the Grants Management web site. http://finance1.doe.mass.edu/grants/

Each application submitted should contain the following in the order listed.

  • Part I - General - Standard Contract Form and Application for Program Grants signature page, including the amount requested

  • Part II - Budget Detail Pages, including all applicant agency contact information

  • Part III - Required Program Information - SMARTT Program Planning Module

  • Statements of Assurances - Please note that either two or three signatures are required.

  • SMARTT - Required elements should be completed online.

Applicants must complete the required elements of the SMARTT system. There are no required SMARTT submissions for Fund Code: 342.

Training

Applicants are encouraged strongly to attend an ABE Program Design Update Training available at the following times and locations.

April 9 Bristol Community College, Room L 104 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
April 10 Quinsigamond Community College Harrington Learning Center, Room 109A 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
April 11 Holyoke Community College Kittredge Business Center, Room 302 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
April 11 Adult Literacy Resource Institute (ALRI), University of Massachusetts, Boston Wheatley Building, 4th Floor, Room 04-167 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
April 13 Northern Essex Community College Lawrence Room 244 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

Please Note

All appropriations listed here are subject to change. The Department will inform applicants as soon as possible if final appropriations require changes to grant figures.

Submission
Deadline

Applications for state grant awards must be received by Tuesday, May 1, 2007.

Applications for federal grant awards must be received by Wednesday, August 1, 2007.

Number of Sets Required Submit 2 sets of the application, each with the original signature in blue ink of the Superintendent/Executive Director/President.
