Program and Staff Development (SABES) Regional Support Centers for Adult Basic Education Programs and Providers
Fund Code: 667/343

April 3, 2007

Dear Grant Applicant:

Enclosed for your review and response is the FY2008 Request for Proposals (RFP) for Program and Staff Development Regional Support Centers for Adult Basic Education Programs and Providers Grants. This RFP is intended for applicants that have funding currently through the Adult and Community Learning Services (ACLS) unit of the Massachusetts Department of Education. This continuation application package is for Fund Codes: 667 and 343.

To be considered as applicants for refunding, programs must meet the requirements and intent of the authorizing legislation or federal grant regulations governing the program and must have conducted a successful program in FY2007. Applications are due on Tuesday, May 1, 2007.

Applicants should submit the application package based on FY2007 funding levels. It is important to note that funding levels are subject to the approval of state and federal appropriations and grantees will be notified of any changes in funding levels. Please note that no expense may be charged to the grant before Adult and Community Learning Services submits an approved budget to Grants Management. State and federal regulations require that separate and auditable records be maintained for each project that you conduct.

We look forward to reviewing your grant application so that we can continue our work together to provide highly effective professional development opportunities to the programs and practitioners in the Commonwealth.

Sincerely,

Anne Serino, Administrator
Adult and Community Learning Services
