Adult Basic EducationTransition to Community College Program

TOTAL INCREASE AMOUNT: $50,000 (State)
PURPOSE: Funding will be used to cover increased costs of staffing and provide needed services to students in the Community College Transition Programs. Staff benefits and salaries have increased, limiting the hours the coordinator and counseling staff can use for recruitment, student support, and advising transition students.
RESULT OF FUNDING: With these increased funds, Transition Programs at the 10 community colleges will be able to increase recruitment and support students in their academic goals and personal needs as related to their education. Increases range from $4,000 to $6,500.
