Competitive Academic Support Services Pathways One Stop Career Center Initiative School Year Program

PURPOSE: The purpose of this grant is for One Stop Career Centers to broker education, training, and employment options that address the unique needs of post-12th grade students who require further remediation to attain the skills necessary to pass the MCAS in order to complete the state required Competency Determination for high school graduation.

RESULT OF FUNDING: This grant will support 10 One Stop Career Centers working in collaboration with Workforce Investment Boards and school districts to provide 6,948 post-12 grade students with education, training, and employment opportunities. The primary focus of this school year initiative is to assist students in the Classes of 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, and 2008 achieve a Competency Determination. Grant awards range from $38,111 to $132,840.
